Thanks for 730 days of awesome!

Friday, May 11th, 2012

This week marks our 2nd anniversary, and we can honestly say it’s been two of the best years of our lives. We’ve loved getting out into the community, getting to know some amazing Oklahomans and making a difference where we can. And we’re so grateful to our customers for making us the top-selling volume store in Oklahoma. Here’s a look back at some of the fun times we’ve had.

Dustbowl Part Deux

Friday, September 2nd, 2011

So we loved Dustbowl Arts Market so much that we’re doing TWO blog posts on it. We also love local videographer Nathan Poppe and think this is some of his best work yet. Seriously awesome video showcasing some seriously awesome artistic and musical talent in Oklahoma.

Buy cool local art. Check.

Listen to some sweet local bands. Check.

Celebrate creativity in Oklahoma. Check.

We crossed tons of stuff off our list this weekend at one of our favorite events of the year — Dustbowl Arts Market in Norman!

Shout out to Jarod Evans with Blackwatch Studios, Katie Huskerson with Birdie, Reese Truesdell with Wild Hare Beadery and Dana Scott with Pistachio for putting on an amazing event!

Beau Jennings and the guys from Blackwatch perform on the Fowler VW Stage at Dustbowl.

Cool sidewalk chalk next to artist Brad Price's booth.

Victory Dolls!

Photographer Samantha Lamb strikes a pose in her lovely Dustbowl booth.

Our "new" favorite display car.

Dustbowl organizers Dana Scott and Katie Huskerson take a quick breather inside Birdie.

Plaza District makes fanny packs cool again

Monday, June 13th, 2011

We had so much fun at the Fanny Pack Fashion Show at LIVE on the Plaza Friday night! Hosted by DNA Gallerie, the event featured handmade, re-purposed fanny packs made by 15 local artists. These were not your normal fannies—models walked the runway in packs retrofitted with speakers, sewn into furry animals and covered in shiny sequins.
